I let go of my little bitty AM/FM radio yesterday morning… and if fell straight down a stormwater drain. Ain’t no way of getting it back- the drain is just around the corner of the road, so even if I could reach it chances are I’ll get run over in the process.
So it’s another radio for me. Do you know how increasingly hard it is to find a standalone personal radio that is:
a) good and not el cheapo (digital tuner preferred)
b) doesn’t make me look intellectually challenged, meaning headset radios are a no- no, and
c) has AM on it so I can listen to news and the footy?
On top of that, offsets, etc mean that it isn’t a simple Ebay job like most other things. I am at the ACA’s mercy on that account.
So now I’m stuck with my Zune’s library and FM radio for entertainment. Which means I’m perpetually in approximately 1987.
