I don't discriminate against Dickheads

Two years ago yesterday I didn’t go on a date. At least, that was the intention; it was just seeing a movie with someone from work… purely platonic. Heh.

Deciding to go on that non- date was the best decision I have made in my life.

From that day onwards I discovered a kind, generous, passionate, funny person who did not just make sure that every second counted, but made the most of every frame within that. A man whose enthusiasm is infectious, through whose eyes you want to experience life in all of its forms. And for some reason a person who liked me too.

In short, I found my soulmate.

Michael, I love you with all of my heart. We are each individuals, but put us together and we are so much better than the sum of our parts. As a team, we’re unstoppable. Thank you for being… well, you, every day. Thanks you for loving me, and thank you for not giving up and making me go that day.

Because it wasn’t a date.
